Dizziness and Balance
We offer comprehensive hearing tests for all adults and most children. The road to improved hearing begins with a full hearing test. At the Balance & Hearing Institute at Farragut ENT we have the advantage of audiologists and otolaryngologists (ENT physicians) under the same roof. Because of this, we can offer comprehensive ear and hearing evaluations. Our audiologists and physicians work together to help every patient identify and understand his/her hearing problem. We work to find the problem, so you can find the solution that is right for you.
Most people don’t realize how important a hearing evaluation can be, both for preserving your natural hearing ability and for uncovering any hearing impairments that you may have.
With our comprehensive hearing evaluations, that time is spent learning about your hearing ability and making plans to improve it.
The team at Balance & Hearing Institute at Farragut ENT encourages everyone to complete a thorough hearing evaluation, even if you don’t currently have any symptoms. During your hearing evaluation, we will:
Our hearing evaluations begin with a discussion of your current medical history and a review of your hearing concerns. Every patient is different and we want to get to know you and your unique hearing concerns. After we examine your ear and complete an array of audiometric tests to assess your hearing, we then review our findings with you. If a loss is detected, we’ll go over the type and level of hearing loss present. Rest assured that there are many treatment options for all types of hearing loss, and we’ll carefully walk you through the options that will best serve your hearing needs, and ensure your satisfaction every step of the way.
Participating in these tests is easy and they are completely painless. We’ll gain a better understanding of the volumes and frequencies you can hear as well as how well you understand the speech of others. If you do have hearing loss, it’s our goal to provide you with comprehensive information so that you can decide which course of treatment is right for you.
At Balance & Hearing Institute at Farragut ENT, we utilize a collaborative approach to hearing healthcare, meaning that your needs and priorities are just as important as our recommendations, and we will work together as a team. We also understand the value that friends and family can bring to this important visit, so we encourage all patients to bring a loved one with them to their hearing evaluation. This can also help to make you feel more relaxed and allows you to discuss your options with someone you love and trust.
We pride ourselves on taking a personalized approach to your hearing healthcare, and never attempt to recommend options that take on a “one size fits all” mindset. Instead, we know that your hearing needs are as unique as you are, and we will work to create a customized solution that fits both your budget and lifestyle.
